Graduating at the top of her class from Academy of Art University with a BFA in Computer Arts / New Media has laid the foundation for Maria's creativity. Throughout her career, she's been fortunate to combine her artistic talent with technical skills and in collaboration with other creatives develop conceptual designs that employ the latest technology.

Through continuous experience directing Creative Services and Web Development departments as well as teaching at a renown digital arts college, Maria earned the respect of her peers, staff and students by being the thought leader and creative thinker. Maria's creativity goes beyond visual design. If you do good by your users, search engines will return the favor! Maria has worked with numerous SEO experts over the last decade. Her continuous efforts in improving information architecture, generating quality, keyword rich content, and optimizing websites to ensure the best performance and an exceptional user experience produced striking results, in some cases increasing organic traffic by nearly 50%.

HTML / CSS

If you can't code HTML / CSS without using a WYSIWYG, you are not a true web designer. This was taught to Maria when she first dipped her hands in to the web. Her creativity and ability to be pixel perfect are what drives her passion for front-end web development. She excells at not just making beautiful designs but also making them work. Her strengths are in developing cross-browser, cross-platform, fluid and functional interfaces.

Maria is as much of a right brain as she is a left brain and her ability to be well-rounded is what allows her to produce incredible user experience, visual design and functional interfaces utlizing the latest bells and whistles.

I am an artist by birth, through education and experience. I strive in a collaborative team environment. I love people - working with them, leading my team, and teaching my students. To me nothing is sweeter than success and the feeling of accomplishment, knowing that my work is contributing to business growth and my leadership skills are helping others advance in their own professional development.

I have done many things - fine art, graphic design, web development but at this point in my career I am all about creative leadership and project management. Whether in an agency or in-house creative department, I am seeking an opportunity to work on interactive projects, where I can lead a team of designers and developers and ensure overall successful project delivery.
